--↠ Cass' present and main timeline is approximately sixteen years after the events of Devil May Cry 5. Granted that he is so far removed from the events of the game, his knowledge of things is all based on second or third hand accounts he's been told from family and friends.His timeline is considered the "future timeline" for the story in which all my OCs play a part. In this timeline, he works with both Night and Leonidas for the majority of his jobs.

Cassius is an original character (OC) I designed many years ago for the Classic instalments of the Devil May Cry series.He was designed to be the son of Nero and Kyrie though there are occasions where I have toyed with the idea of him being Dante's from time to time.For the purposes of the writing here, I intend to stick with the idea of him being Nero and Kyrie's son to make things easier and more realistic to the series.To reflect that lineage, he's only an 8th demon and cannot use Devil Trigger (DT) as Sparda's blood is far too diluted, but he does posses a great deal of physical strength and some demonic power he inherited from Nero.Cassius as a character is very similar to Nero as he was in DMC 4 in many regards but with a few Dante like quirks.

Cassius was born some time after the Saviour incident and raised in Fortuna outside of the Order of the Sword's reach.Granted that he is only one eighth demon, his power is quite limited in scope, though he is still far stronger than an average human being as a result of Sparda's lineage.During the events in Red Grave city Cassius was only six years old so his knowledge of the event in question are limited to what he remembers when V showed up looking for Nero.Cassius was present when Nero lost his arm, an event that still unsettles him to this day, though he takes solace in the fact that his father not only overcame the ordeal, but returned stronger than ever after the incident in Red Grave was dealt with.Although he knows now that V and Vergil are one in the same, he has little understanding of what really happened, having only interacted with V and his familiars during the month Dante was missing and gleaming whatever he could from Nero when he was older.Growing up, Cassius was a very sweet child, adoring of his parents and the orphans they had taken in after the Savior Incident, never quick to anger or dispute anything.By the time he was sixteen however, Cassius had developed a rather quick temper much like his father had around the same age. He was constantly getting into fights at school (albeit in self defence) and with the knights of the Order, even getting himself expelled three times from three different schools, forcing him to start home school for the remainder of his high-school years.These days, though he has calmed significantly, Cassius is naturally suspicious by nature and can still be a bit of a hothead when dealing with people that aren't his family, but his short fuse is tempered with Kyrie's influence and he can be very sweet and caring when he's close to someone.Despite his lineage and his fathers occupation, Cassius doesn't enjoy fighting or hunting demons, preferring music to devil hunting any time. His dream is to pursue theatre after hearing his mothers performances in the past, but he fears disappointing Nero and keeps this mostly to himself.
Even though he actively tries to avoid it, he is a very capable fighter regardless of his dislike of it and, much like Nero, will not go down quietly if caught up in a battle, even when he's clearly outmatched.Cassius is incredibly curious about his family beyond Nero, namely Vergil, but as Nero seems to know next to nothing about him, he's left to speculate much of the time with what he learned after the Red Grave incident later on in his life.He hopes he can eventually find the man in question on his own to learn more, but as Vergil is such an enigma that no one in his family will talk to him about, he does find the idea of meeting Vergil unsettling purely because he doesn't know the first thing about him outside of what he knew of V.Though his eyes were originally blue at birth, Cassius sustained an injury to his left eye during a hunt that left him with trauma induced full heterochromia. As a result, the pigment changed and his left eye is now brown like his mothers.The hunt in question was one in which Cassius found himself in a little over his head and ended up recruiting the aid of another demon by the name of Dazai.

↠ Cassius sings much like his mother but hides it and his desire to purse anything of the sort from Nero↠ He keeps detailed notebooks on various things that interest him, most notably about creatures he meets to document his new experiences↠ Cassius has a habit of stealing Nero's old clothing now that it fits him. His usual victims are Nero's old red hooded vest, his old wristband and the rings he used to wear while he was a knight in the Order. The vest is something he often wears beneath his usual white coat so Nero won't see it when he's leaving.

↠ He's very mechanically inclined like his father and occasionally uses that mechanical know-how to make some extra cash on the side when he's not out devil hunting↠ Cassius is incredibly smart, but he rarely finds himself in situations that allow him to show off his intelligence unless he's "nerding out" about a topic he likes such as reptiles or geoscience
